Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that he was very impressed by the enthusiastic and warm welcome from his dear brother Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
In a statement released on the social networking website X, the Prime Minister said that he was very impressed by the enthusiastic and warm welcome from Saudi Arabia. The historic welcome by the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman won hearts.
He said that the warm welcome from the Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft on my arrival was surprising, and a brilliant contingent of the Saudi armed forces presented a salute.
The Prime Minister said that this is a manifestation of the long-standing love and mutual respect between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Shehbaz Sharif said that I had a very pleasant and useful conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, in which regional challenges were discussed and discussions were held on promoting bilateral cooperation.
The Prime Minister further said that I deeply appreciate the vision and leadership of Prince Muhammad Bin Salman. His special interest in mediating investment, trade and business relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is commendable.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Riyadh from Islamabad on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia yesterday at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, where the Prime Minister was given a grand welcome by Saudi F-15 fighter jets. The two leaders signed a defense agreement aimed at supporting each other in the sovereignty and integrity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Under the agreement, Pakistan has now become a strategic partner in the protection of the Two Holy Mosques and the security of Saudi Arabia.
Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir played a key role in the preparation and completion of this agreement.
This agreement transforms the decades-long military cooperation, joint exercises and defense relations between the two countries into a formal strategic partnership.
This agreement will not only promote peace and global security in the region but will also create vast opportunities in the economic, diplomatic and military fields.
Key points of the agreement
Under the agreement, Pakistan will jointly protect the Two Holy Mosques with Saudi Arabia. Pakistan is the first country to achieve this honor, which will stand by Saudi Arabia in the defense of the holy sites of Masjid Al-Haram and Masjid Al-Nabawi (peace be upon them).
The agreement aims to strengthen defense and increase the readiness and integration of the defense capabilities of both countries, under the provisions of which an external attack on either country will be considered an attack on both countries.
The signing of the agreement reaffirms the deep bilateral relations and security cooperation between the two countries. This agreement also reflects the common objectives of promoting peace and strengthening regional and global security.
According to the statement, the defense agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will prove to be extremely beneficial for both in security, economy and diplomacy.
