Dhaka Test: Pakistan proves to be a disappointment for Bangladesh, losing by 104 runs

Pakistan proved to be a match-winner for Bangladesh in the Dhaka Test, with the hosts easily defeating them by 104 runs.

In the match played in Mirpur, Bangladesh declared their second innings on 240 for 9 on the fifth day of play, setting Pakistan a target of 268 runs to win.

Pakistan team was bowled out for 163 runs in pursuit of the target. Debutant Abdullah Fazal was the standout with 66 runs. No other batsman could show a significant performance.

Salman Ali Agha 26, Mohammad Rizwan, Saud Shakeel and Azan Owais were dismissed for 15 runs each while Namaman Ali 4, Imam-ul-Haq and captain Shan Masood 2 each, Hasan Ali one and Shaheen Afridi were dismissed without scoring any runs.

For Bangladesh, Naheed Rana took 5, Tejul Islam and Taskin Ahmed took 2 each while Mehdi Hassan Miraz took one wicket.

It should be remembered that Pakistan won the toss and invited Bangladesh to bat first.

Bangladesh scored 413 runs in the first innings, in response to which the Pakistan team was bowled out for 386 runs in its first innings.
