Pakistan crush Afganistan by 75 runs in tri-series final

Pakistan have set target of 142 runs against Afghanistan in the final of tri-nation series.

The Green Shirts captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss against Afghanistan and opted to bat first. However, batting first, Pakistan managed to score 141 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

Pakistan’s innings was opened by Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub, but the opening partnership proved unproductive. Opener Sahibzada Farhan returned to the pavilion without scoring, while Saim Ayub was dismissed for 17 runs.

The third wicket fell at a team total of 51 runs when Fakhar Zaman was out for 27 runs. Hassan Nawaz scored 15 runs, Mohammad Haris made just two runs while Salman Ali Agha contributed 24, Mohammad Nawaz added 25, and Faheem Ashraf scored 15 before returning to the pavilion.

The match, hosted at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, which is known for international matches, started at 8:00pm Pakistan time.
