Islamabad: Pakistan-US relations are currently at their strongest in history, as a result of which billions of dollars of investment are expected in the country soon.
According to a media report, Andy Hales, Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy at the US Embassy, has said that Pakistan-US relations are currently at their best in history. The strong, cordial and mutually respectful relations between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reflect the solid foundation of the relations between the two countries.
Andy Hales revealed that it has been decided to invest several billion dollars in Pakistan’s important mineral project Reko Diq in collaboration with the US government’s Exim Bank. He said that the interest of American private companies in the mines and minerals sector is increasing rapidly, which is a sign of increasing Pak-US economic cooperation.
According to the American diplomat, the final investment decisions are made by private American companies themselves, however, there is an extraordinary interest in the Reko Diq project in the US Embassy. He said that American companies prefer local talent wherever they invest and create new job opportunities.
Andy Hales, describing education as the main pillar of Pak-US relations, said that the Fulbright Program in Pakistan has completed 75 years and so far more than 9,000 Pakistani students have studied at prestigious universities in the United States. He encouraged Pakistani youth to take full advantage of the free educational resources of USEFP and Education USA.
He said that the relations between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are very strong and pleasant. President Donald Trump has made positive statements about Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on several occasions.
Andy Hales said that I am happy to have come here to work for the US Embassy at such a time. This is the best opportunity for me to come here as a US diplomat. The current situation is a reflection of the strong relations between Pakistan and the United States.
