According to data from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), cellular subscribers and teledensity both decreased in Pakistan in August 2022 compared to July 2022.By the end of August 2022, there were 194.75 million cellular users in Pakistan as opposed to 195.26 million at the end of July.
By the end of August 2022, the teledensity for mobile phones had dropped from 88.61 percent to 88.21 percent. By the end of August, the overall teledensity had dropped from 89.8% to 89.4%.
By the end of August 2022, there would be 1.27 million more 3G and 4G customers in Pakistan than there were at the end of July when there were 118.57 million users. Jazz’s overall 3G user count decreased from 5.838 million at the end of July to 5.653 million at the end of August, a loss of 0.185 million.
By the end of August, there were 39.965 million Jazz 4G users, up from 39.296 million at the end of July.Zong 4G customers climbed from 29.695 million at the end of July to 30.218 million in August, while the number of 3G subscribers fell from 3.108 million to 3.023 million by the end of the month.
While the number of Telenor 4G customers climbed from 22.401 million at the end of July to 22.523 million at the end of August, the company’s 3G subscribers fell from 3.480 million at the end of July to 3.365 million.
