LAHORE: Party vice president Maryam Nawaz addressed a sizable crowd of people as part of the political campaign for the PML-N candidate who ran for the PP-282 by-election in Layyah. Making reference to former prime minister Imran Khan, she said that the PML-N would be fighting against inflation, corruption, incompetence, and unemployment on July 17.
She continued by saying that on Sunday, Punjab would compete against a “anti-Punjab” Khan.
Maryam congratulated the Layyah residents for attending in such large numbers at the beginning of the march. She praised PTI defector Lala Tahir Randhawa, who ran in the city’s PP-282 constituency in the by-elections on Sunday, stating that the atmosphere and attendance at the event were clear indications of his triumph.
Ms. Nawaz mentioned the CPEC, road, transport, and energy projects that her father, former Pakistani premier Nawaz Sharif, had implemented for Pakistan, while claiming that PTI leader Imran Khan had only introduced harmful programmes for Punjab.
She asserted that Mr. Khan, whose “front people were Farah Gogi and his spouse Bushra,” was the main architect of the plot and the major cause of damage in the province. She said, “He claims to do jihad, but he is the first ruler to send female members of his family to plunder Punjab
