Karachi: Pakistan showbiz superstar Fawad Khan has revealed that he has been suffering from diabetes since the age of 17.
In a recent interview, Fawad Khan recalled his boyhood days and said that when he was 17, his body was going through an autoimmune response.
The actor said that he was very active during his school days and was fond of sports, but after being diagnosed with type one diabetes, all his hobbies ended.
Talking about his illness, Fawad Khan said, “From the age of 17, I was given insulin injections. When the sugar level in the body is low, it seems like someone is pulling your soul.” Often I would also fall on the floor, breathing heavily and sweating profusely.
The actor said that it was a difficult time which also affected his father emotionally as he had already lost one of his sons.
Fawad Khan said that during his school days he always kept a bottle with him containing insulin vial, syringe and ice, which I kept with me all the time, in the early days of diabetes I was suffering a lot.
It may be recalled that Fawad Khan started singing with his band during his school days while he entered the world of acting during his college days.
Fawad Khan’s acting is greatly appreciated in neighboring India including Pakistan, while Fawad has also made his place in the list of the most handsome men in the world.
