The Ministry of Interior has termed as baseless and misleading the news circulating on social media and some media outlets regarding the alleged deportation of Pakistani citizens from the UAE on specific grounds.

The statement issued by the Ministry of Interior said that after a detailed review of the matter, it has become clear that such news is malicious propaganda, aimed at creating misunderstandings and benefiting specific interests.

The statement issued by the Ministry of Defense said that Pakistani citizens are not being deported from any friendly country, including the UAE, on the basis of any particular class or group. If a citizen is sent back, it is part of the normal course of action under the laws of the respective country, visa conditions, illegal documents or expiry of the period of stay.

According to the Ministry of Interior, Pakistani citizens are continuing to benefit from visas and job opportunities in the UAE and other friendly countries, and there is no discriminatory policy in this regard.

Officials say that rumors and fake news spread on social media are fabricated and are being spread for specific purposes.

The statement further said that the issue faced by any Pakistani citizen abroad is raised on a case-by-case basis with the relevant country through the Foreign Office so that possible diplomatic assistance can be provided to the citizens.
