D.G. Khan: Federal Minister for Energy Awais Leghari has stated that, starting from June next year, load-shedding will be implemented at the transformer level—rather than on the feeders—in areas where electricity theft occurs.
Speaking to the media in Dera Ghazi Khan after reviewing the expansion project for the Farooq Ahmed Khan Leghari International Airport, the Federal Minister explained that by implementing a two-hour load-shedding period at night, the public has been spared an additional financial burden of 6 rupees per unit.
Awais Leghari further mentioned that consultations are underway within the party regarding the establishment of administrative units across the country.
He noted that the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) has already passed resolutions in the assembly advocating for the creation of separate provinces for South Punjab and Bahawalpur.
