Pakistan’s mineral sector has significant potential for economic growth and investment due to its vast natural resources.

The Khuzdar Barite, Lead, Zinc (BLZ) project is among Pakistan’s major mineral projects, which has been in the works for a long time.

SIFC has facilitated the resolution of long-standing issues facing the BLCs project, paving the way for an investment of $200 million, which is being developed in Khuzdar in collaboration with Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Bolan Mining Enterprises.

The BLZ project located in Khuzdar has 69 million tonnes of mineral reserves and an expected mine life of 34 years.

The completion of the operational agreement after the resolution of lease-related issues marked a significant milestone in the project, which is expected to generate $150-230 million in annual revenue and boost economic activity in Balochistan.

The growing investment opportunities in Pakistan’s mineral resources reflect the growing confidence of global investors.

SIFC’s support is helping to drive progress in mineral projects, promote investment, and strengthen Pakistan’s mineral economy.
