Islamabad: A delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami reached the Ministry of Planning to hold talks with the government on the issue of petroleum levy, where the first round of talks between the two was completed.
According to Express News, the delegation of Jamaat-e-Islami that reached the Ministry of Planning was led by Deputy Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Liaquat Baloch. The delegation included Syed Farasat Shah, Nasrullah Randhawa, Inayatullah Khan, Ziauddin Ansari Advocate, Naveed Ali Baig and Shahid Naeem.

The government negotiation team was led by Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, along with Rana Sanaullah Khan, Ali Pervaiz Malik and Bilal Azhar Kayani.

After the arrival of the delegation, negotiations were held on both sides in the conference room, with Jamaat-e-Islami presenting proposals for the abolition of petroleum levy.

Later, the first round of talks was completed.
