National unity and political resolve are needed to counter the threat of growing extremism, says Shazia Marri

Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians’ Central Spokesperson Shazia Marri has said that Pakistan needs national unity and political resolve to confront the growing threat of extremism.

In a statement, Shazia Marri said that we lost Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto to terrorism. Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has always taken a clear and courageous stand against terrorism and extremism. No country can allow its territory to be used for violence against its neighbors.

Shazia Marri said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto always stressed on ensuring full implementation of the National Action Plan. Unfortunately, negligence and poor governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have allowed extremist and criminal networks to resurface.

She said that when institutions do not take timely action, extremists take advantage of these gaps to spread fear and chaos. Pakistan has every right to protect its citizens and maintain peace within its borders.
