In the ongoing National Under-19 Women’s Cricket Tournament under the PCB, the Invincibles defeated the Strikers by 54 runs to claim their second consecutive victory, while the Stars tasted victory after two defeats by defeating the Conquerors by 78 runs.
Batting first at the NBP Sports Complex on Sunday, the Invincibles scored 165 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 30 overs. Player of the Match Al-Zoha Hammad played an innings of 64 runs with the help of 9 fours in a four-match style.
Manahil Parvez remained unbeaten on 24 and Maha Abbas on 12. In reply, the Strikers were bowled out for just 71 runs in 22.5 overs. Areesha Ansari was the standout with 23 runs. Maha Abbas took 3 wickets for 4 runs while Al-Zoha Hammad took 2 wickets without conceding any runs.
This was the second consecutive defeat for the Strikers. At the Oval Ground, National Stadium, the Stars went to the pavilion after adding 139 runs in 29.3 overs. Player of the Match Aqsa played an innings of 48 runs, openers Qamroosh 15 and Mehak Arif were able to add 12 runs, Narjis Bibi took 5 wickets for 20 runs.
In reply, the Conkers team was bundled out for 61 runs in 18.2 overs, Nasreen Ashraf stood out with 11 runs, 10 batters could not cross the decade mark, Sawira Ramzan took 3 for 14 runs and Afshin took 2 for 1 run, Conkers lost the second match in the third match.
It should be noted that both matches started late due to drizzle in the city.
