NA proceedings briefly suspended over lack of quorum

ISLAMABAD (APP): Proceedings of the National Assembly were briefly suspended on Thursday after a lawmaker pointed out a lack of quorum shortly after the session began.

Muhammad Iqbal Khan Afridi drew the Deputy Speaker’s attention to the quorum issue, prompting Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah to order a headcount in the House.

Following the count, the deputy speaker declared that the House was not in order and announced a break until the quorum was completed. The session had started at 11:14 am.

Proceedings resumed after a break of around 25 minutes once the quorum was completed.
