Tehran: An Iranian Revolutionary Guards official has claimed that more than 85 percent of Iran’s air defense production capacity was preserved during the recent war with the United States and Israel.

Al Jazeera quoted the Iranian news agency Fars as saying that an IRGC official gave details about Iran’s defense production during the war in a documentary broadcast by Fars.

According to the Iranian official, despite the country’s military production infrastructure being targeted during the war, the pace of production and delivery of missiles and air defense systems did not decrease compared to pre-war levels.

He claimed that a large part of Iran’s air defense capacity is produced by the IRGC’s own organization. According to him, production in some sectors has increased rather than decreased during the war.

The official added that attempts were made to damage Iran’s air defense production centers during the war, but a large part of the overall production capacity was spared.

According to the Iranian official, Iran’s active air defense system stockpile is also in a better position than when the war began. He said that the current situation indicates that Iran has been able to maintain the production and supply of its air defense systems during the war.

This claim has come at a time when air strikes and defense systems have been a major topic in the recent war between Iran and the US and Israel. Reports have been coming out that several targets related to Iranian military installations and defense production have been targeted during the war.

However, an Iranian Revolutionary Guards official has claimed that despite these attacks, there was no significant disruption to the production of air defense systems and production has been further increased in some sectors.
