ISLAMABAD: During the National Assembly session, Minister of State Bilal Kayani left PTI member Shehryar Afridi speechless on the question of providing relief related to solar.
When the session began, opposition member Iqbal Afridi repeatedly pointed out the quorum, but the Speaker ignored it first and gave Minister of State Bilal Azhar Kayani a chance to speak.
Due to Iqbal Afridi’s continuous noise, the Speaker gave the microphone to Iqbal Afridi. Iqbal Afridi pointed out the quorum, on which the Speaker started counting, after which the proceedings of the session were suspended until the quorum was complete.
When the National Assembly session resumed after the quorum was complete, Samina Khalid Gharki asked how cases of under-invoicing in solar imports are checked? Minister of State Bilal Kayani replied that according to the FBR, under-invoicing was not done in solar.
PTI member Shehryar Afridi asked what relief the government is going to give to the common man in solar?
Minister of State Bilal Kayani replied that we are not going to do to the people what your government did, the government is encouraging solar and despite limited resources, the government provided a subsidy of Rs 129 billion.
Asad Qaiser presented a notice of attention regarding the complete power outage from Burhan to Swabi due to a damaged power transmission line.
Minister of State Wajih Qamar replied that it has been assured that electricity will be restored by tonight. A few days ago, this problem occurred due to a storm. To solve the problem, a 220 KVA grid station is being built. The cooperation of the district administration is needed to solve the problems there.
Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai expressed his views
Speaking in the National Assembly session, Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that it should be clearly stated when the meeting with Imran Khan will take place and when Imran Khan will be shifted to the hospital as per his wish. If the government continues with this attitude, then if there is a commotion on Monday, the government will be responsible.
Opposition Leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that why does the government want to spoil the atmosphere of the House? If the government does not respond, then do not complain. I will tell the PPP that this is a conspiracy to twist the hands of the Pinky Monkey PPP.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed his views on the point of objection
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed his views on the point of objection and said that we support the demands of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, the founding chairman is seeking justice for PTI.
He said that we have gone to the Supreme Court 15 times and the High Court 24 times, but we have not received justice from the courts, neither the courts are being implemented, nor is the SOP agreed upon with the Speaker being implemented.

Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry replied that we are sitting with the opposition on Monday on issues related to electricity, we are trying to arrange a meeting of the opposition leader with the Prime Minister.
He said that the founding chairman has been taken for timely treatment, the government is fulfilling its responsibility regarding the rights of a prisoner.
Asad Qaiser, while expressing his views on the point of objection, said that we are in this House because of the Founding Chairman. If the Founding Chairman is not met and if he is not treated, then there is no point in us sitting in this House.
The session of the National Assembly was adjourned till 5 pm on Monday. During the session, the PIA Corporation Repeal Ordinance 2026 and the Insurance Bill 2026 were also presented in the National Assembly, while the report of the Standing Committee on the Financial Institutions Amendment Bill 2026 was presented.
