Technology company Meta is working on a new premium subscription service that will allow users of the photo-sharing platform Instagram to view other people’s Stories anonymously.

Initially, only users in Mexico, Japan and the Philippines will be able to sign up for Instagram Plus membership.

The service will be available locally for around $1 to $2 per month and will also allow users to see how many people have viewed their Stories more than once.

Other features include an animated “Super Like” reaction for Stories, while users will also be able to keep their Stories available for longer to increase their reach.

Meta (which also owns Facebook and WhatsApp) is also testing paywall features for its other apps.
