Meghan Markle is considering a return to acting after moving to the UK with her husband Prince Harry. Reports claim that a new acting role for Meghan is among the possible reasons for her return to the UK.
According to British and Australian media reports, News.com.au first reported that a potential acting role for the Duchess of Sussex could be one of the reasons for Harry and Meghan’s decision to return to the UK. However, no final details about the project or Meghan’s role have been released yet.
According to reports, the Sussex family could arrive in the UK by the end of August. Prince Harry and Meghan will stay at a private, non-royal residence near London with their two children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
Meghan Markle gained international fame in acting from the American legal drama series ‘Suits’, in which she played the role of Rachel Zane for 7 seasons. This drama was broadcast in 2018 and through it, Meghan strengthened her identity on a global scale.
Meghan temporarily stepped away from acting after marrying Prince Harry. At that time, in an interview given to the BBC, she described leaving acting as a ‘new chapter’ in life rather than giving up on something.
However, signs of her return to acting were seen recently, when she played a small role in the comedy film ‘Close Personal Friends’ after almost a decade. Possibly, a return to regular acting could also prove financially beneficial for Meghan.
On the other hand, according to the BBC, Meghan also wants to expand her American lifestyle and cooking brand ‘As Ever’ globally during her stay in the UK.
There is currently no official confirmation that Meghan will be involved in any new acting projects in the UK, but if the alleged offer she received becomes a reality, it would be a major return to acting after her long hiatus.
