President Asif Zardari has said that May 10 is a golden chapter in the history of Pakistan, Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression will be written in golden letters.

A special ceremony was held at the Pakistan Monument in Islamabad on the completion of one year of Operation Banyan Marsus Muarka Haq.

The ceremony was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, along with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the chiefs of the armed forces, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the Chairman of the Senate and federal ministers. Ambassadors of different countries, civil and military officials, and relatives of the martyrs were also present at the ceremony.

The national anthem was played at the beginning of the ceremony. The well-dressed contingents of the three armed forces marched past and presented a salute.

Addressing the ceremony, the President said that after the Pahalgam incident, war was imposed on Pakistan, India attacked Pakistan without provocation, India attacked Pakistan’s civilian population and places of worship, and the Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistan Army gave a befitting reply to the Indian aggression.

The President said that the sons of Pakistan’s brave soldiers have made us proud, our Air Force shot down 8 enemy aircraft, Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression will be written in golden letters.

He said that India is occupying Kashmir, the Kashmir issue is unresolved, Pakistan will continue to provide diplomatic, political and moral support to the people of Kashmir, Pakistan will continue to provide unconditional support to the Palestinian people.

The President said that Indian terrorism in Pakistan through Afghanistan should end.
