RAWALPIDI: Major and two officers who were martyred during the operation against Khawarij in Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were laid to rest in their native areas.
According to the statement released by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), 31-year-old Major Atif Khaleel, a resident of Sadhnuti district of Azad Kashmir, who died while fighting bravely during an operation against the Khawarij in Bakakhel area of Bannu district, 36. One-year-old Naik Azadullah Shaheed resident of Kirk district and 35-year-old Lance Naik Ghazanfar Abbas resident of Leh district were laid to rest with full military honors in their native areas.
ISPR said that Corps Commander Rawalpindi and Corps Commander Peshawar participated in the funeral prayers of Major Atif Khalil Shaheed.

A large number of senior military and civil officials, soldiers of Pakistan Army, relatives of martyrs and elders of the area participated in the funeral prayer and burial of the martyrs.
ISPR said in a statement that the military and civil authorities said that our determination and morale are high and these great sacrifices of martyrs are our strength in the ongoing war against terrorism.
