Mahmoud Abbas meets with Prime Minister, declares Gaza ceasefire a precursor to Palestinian development

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and thanked him for always supporting the Palestinians on the political and diplomatic fronts, including raising his voice for them.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had a cordial meeting with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on the sidelines of the peace summit held in Sharm El-Sheikh, which was also attended by Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

In the meeting held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas thanked Pakistan for always supporting the Palestinians and helping them on the political and diplomatic fronts.

The two leaders held a warm informal meeting and discussions before signing the ceasefire agreement in Sharm El-Sheikh, during which he said that the long-standing brotherly relations between Palestine and Pakistan are exemplary, which the leadership and people of both countries are proud of.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the brave people of Gaza for enduring hardships with courage and bravery in the past years.

Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the ceasefire in Gaza and termed it a precursor to peace in the region and progress for the Palestinians.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif holds informal meeting with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the two presidents on the recently signed historic peace agreement.

Regional and global issues, including the Gaza peace agreement, were discussed in the informal meeting. It should be noted that a peace agreement was recently signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan on the historic dispute.
