Karachi: A risk of a petrol and diesel crisis has emerged due to dwindling fuel stocks in the country.
The Oil Companies Advisory Council (OCAC) has sent an urgent letter to the Federal Minister for Petroleum and the Chairman of OGRA, warning that the procurement of petrol and diesel is being hampered by a shortage of capital.

According to the OCAC, the country is left with only 18 days' worth of petrol and 27 days' worth of diesel reserves. The capital available for importing oil is steadily dwindling, making it increasingly difficult to maintain the country's strategic oil reserves.
