Islamabad: The government has taken an important decision regarding locally manufactured hybrid electric vehicles, exempting vehicles with engines up to 2000 cc from sales tax.
The Ministry of Finance has amended the sales tax laws related to hybrid electric vehicles, under which locally manufactured hybrid vehicles up to 2000 cc will be included in the sales tax exemption.

The Ministry of Finance has also issued a notification exempting hybrid vehicles from sales tax. According to the notification, the new amendment related to sales tax will be implemented immediately.
