LAHORE: Lesco has admitted its mistake and apologized to renowned singer Jawad Ahmed.

Renowned singer and chairman of Parbari Party Jawad Ahmed, while talking to the media at the Lahore Press Club, said that Lesco has admitted its mistake and has dropped the case and fine.

He said that Lesco has admitted the conspiracy in a written agreement and issued him a clearance certificate, while the false FIR registered by the police was also dismissed.

Jawad Ahmed said that his fight is not with the institutions but with the shortcomings of the system. He forgave the LESCO officials and said that he wants the institutions to be strong and the people to get justice.

He clarified that the meter is the property of the user, no one should take it without permission. If there is an attempt to take the meter without permission in the future, he will give a similar response.

Jawad Ahmed said that political parties propagated this issue but they became the leaders, I was declared honest and trustworthy according to the constitution and law.

The Chairman of the Parbari Party said that he will always stand with the weak and poor people and wants to see the justice system in the country improve.

It may be recalled that in January this year, Jawad Ahmed had a bitter argument with LESCO staff over a dispute over electricity theft at his wife’s beauty parlor in Johar Town.

LESCO had claimed that the electricity meter of Jawad Ahmed’s wife’s beauty parlor had been tampered with with the aim of stealing electricity. When the LESCO team arrived for action, Jawad Ahmed reached the spot and abused the staff and threatened them. It was further alleged that he tried to run his car (Vigo Dala) over the staff.
