- PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced to provide major relief to government employees before Eid-ul-Azha.
- According to Provincial Finance Minister Muzammil Aslam, the salaries of government employees for May 2026 will be released on May 20 so that employees can prepare and shop for Eid on time.
- Muzammil Aslam says that the government wants to reduce the problems of employees by providing salaries before Eid. The Finance Department has completed all necessary arrangements so that employees can get their salaries on the due date without any delay.
- On the other hand, the federal government has also taken an important decision to facilitate business activities before Eid. Markets, bazaars and shopping malls in Islamabad have been given temporary exemption from the restrictions on business hours.
- According to a notification issued by the Cabinet Division, all markets, shops and shopping centers in the federal capital will be able to remain open without any restrictions on the timings till May 31, 2026. The aim of this decision is to facilitate citizens during Eid shopping and promote business activities.
- The notification states that bakeries, tandoors, grocery stores and restaurants will also be exempted from this ban. This decision has been implemented immediately with the approval of the Prime Minister so that both the public and traders can benefit.
