KARACHI: Two operatives of outlawed Tehreek Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in overnight operation in Surjani Town area here on Wednesday.
According to reports, a police party intercepted four suspected persons riding two motorbikes in an area of Surjani Town. The suspects defied police orders and a shootout ensued.
Two of the terrorists were killed in the exchange of gunfire. The other two managed to flee the scene. Police said they recovered weapons and ammunition from the custody of the saboteurs. Police sources said the terrorists hailed from the banned TTP.
Meanwhile, the city police launched overnight a sting operation in the metropolis area of Orangi Town and arrested a vital target-killer.
According to police sources, Crime Investigation Department (CID) of Sindh police apprehended Umair, target killer in Orangi Town and seized weapons from his possession. The CID police sources said Umair confessed to killing over 30 people. INP
