LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Chief Sirajul Haq on Wednesday said that the Prime Minister must not use his official powers after the constitution of the judicial commission to probe Panamagate scandal.
Talking to media after hearing of Panamagate case in the Supreme Court, the JI chief said that his party wanted across the board accountability of each and everyone who had been involved in corruption.
“But the Prime Minister and other rulers must be made accountable first as they are holding government offices,” he demanded.
He said that Panamgate had brought bad name for the government.
He said that it would be appropriate the Prime Minister must not use his official powers after constitution of the commission in the best interest of fairness and impartially.
