Israel had taken hostage 43 boats of the Global Resistance Flotilla carrying aid to Gaza and arrested 500 volunteers, of whom 4 were deported to their countries.
According to Israeli media, the arrested aid volunteers were transferred to Ketziot prison in the Naqab Desert, where they will all be detained until their deportation is completed.
Where they will be processed under the Population and Immigration Authority and those declared cleared will be deported to their countries.
After the deportation process was completed, the four volunteers from Italy were the first to be deported to their countries today.
In addition to them, preparations have also been completed to repatriate several European citizens. They will be gradually deported.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry has claimed that all the detained volunteers are safe and healthy. They are in contact with the Foreign Ministry of their countries to arrange their return.
It should be noted that over the course of two days, the Israeli Navy took all 43 boats of the flotilla hostage and detained 500 volunteers on board.
These boats were carrying food and medicine that were being sent to the besieged Palestinians in Gaza so that the volunteers on board could distribute them.
The detained volunteers include world-renowned lawyers, parliamentary representatives and human rights activists.
Prominent among them are global environmental activist Greta Thunberg, former Pakistani senator Mushtaq Ahmed, former Barcelona mayor Ada Colu and member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan.
