Israel has deported 171 more of the 500 volunteers arrested for trying to transport food and medicine to Gaza.

According to the international news agency, the Israeli Foreign Ministry said that these individuals were sent to Greece and Slovakia from Ramon International Airport in southern Israel.

Among the volunteers deported today is Greta Thunberg, a world-renowned Swedish environmental activist.

Several volunteers, including Greta Thunberg, accused Israel of unlawful detention and inhumane conditions and of denying them their basic freedoms.

Meanwhile, Israeli authorities have alleged that a Spanish volunteer bit a medical staff member in prison during his detention.

Israeli authorities said that a total of 341 volunteers have been deported so far, while 138 are still in custody.

Those deported are from Greece, Italy, France, Ireland, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Austria, Luxembourg, Finland, Denmark, Slovakia, Switzerland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Serbia and the United States.

It should be remembered that the “Samoud Flotilla” was a convoy of 43 boats that set off from ports in Turkey and Greece on September 27, 2025.

These boats included the Alma, Sirius, Freedom, Al-Karim and Hope, which carried more than 500 workers from more than 20 countries, including Europe and the United States.

Their aim was to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and draw international attention to the Israeli blockade.

The journey lasted about a week, but the Israeli Navy intercepted these boats in the Mediterranean on October 1, 2025, and detained all the volunteers and transferred them to prisons.
