Tehran: Iran has warned other countries in the region, including Bahrain, not to allow their territory, military bases or airspace to be used for any attack against Iran, otherwise Tehran will retaliate.

According to the Iranian official news agency IRNA, this warning was given by the second secretary of Iran’s Permanent Mission to the Third Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, Ali Karimi Makam.

Ali Karimi Muqam, responding to the statement on human rights by the representative of Bahrain, said that Bahrain has ignored the background of the circumstances and events that led to the current situation.

The Iranian diplomat also rejected Bahrain’s position that it is the affected party in the current situation. He said that Bahrain provided its territory, military bases and airspace for the alleged illegal US war against Iran.

He said that a country that provides its territory and other facilities for an illegal war against its neighbor should not be surprised by its possible consequences later.

Ali Karimi Maqam clarified that Iran is again warning these countries not to allow their territory or airspace to be used for attacks against Iran. According to him, if such attacks are allowed again, Iran will respond.

This statement on behalf of Iran has come at a time when there is concern over the security of the Gulf countries and the possible use of their military bases due to the tension between Iran and the United States in the region.
