TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezishkian has described the current situation facing the country as a full-scale war, saying that Iran is currently facing severe pressure on the economic, military and security fronts.
In a televised address, Pezishkian said, “We are in a full-scale economic, military and security war.” He admitted that the government is embarrassed by the significant problems in the country’s economy.
The Iranian president also referred to US President Donald Trump’s threats of new and tough sanctions. He said that Trump easily says that the US will impose the ‘most destructive’ or ‘worst’ sanctions on Iran.
Pezishkian said that despite this unequal war, Iran is standing its ground and trying to serve its people. His statement showed special attention to the economic difficulties and the effects of the war.
