ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi met with Bangladeshi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam, during which they discussed in detail bilateral relations, the regional situation and Pakistan’s reconciliation role.

Bangladesh’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs appreciated Pakistan’s mediation role in resolving the Iran-US dispute.

The two sides agreed to increase cooperation in the fields of trade, business and culture, while increasing exchanges of mutual delegations to promote trade and cultural relations.

The visit of the Bangladesh Foreign Minister to Pakistan was also discussed. Mohsin Naqvi said that there are vast investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Bangladeshi Foreign Ministry Secretary Mohammad Nazrul Islam, Director General South Asia Ishrat Jahan, Director Shamima Yasmin, Pakistani High Commissioner Imran Haider were also present on the occasion.
