A significant development has emerged regarding the promotion of foreign investment in Pakistan, facilitated by the SIFC.

A Dutch business delegation, led by the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Robert Jan Seegers, visited the SIFC. During the visit, Dr. Jehanzeb, Secretary of the SIFC Apex Committee, briefed the delegation on ‘one-window’ facilitation and available investment opportunities.

The Dutch delegation was apprised of investment prospects within Special Economic Zones (SEZs), including the Karachi Industrial Park and the Bin Qasim Industrial Park.

The meeting also included discussions on trade under the Generalized System of Preferences Plus (GSP+) scheme and various business-related reforms. Strengthening Dutch investment and commercial ties is expected to lead to a substantial increase in exports, industrial activity, and employment opportunities.
