Lahore: Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the friends of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) are well aware of the severity of the floods and the biggest rescue and relief operation in Punjab, but when the spokespersons do politics on wheat and floods, they will get a response.
Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, while responding to the criticism of PPP leaders against Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has said that if the PPP spokespersons do politics on wheat and floods, they will get a response. If the PPP spokespersons criticize unjustly, they should have the courage to listen to the response.
She said that if they have made unjustified political statements on wheat and floods, they will have to listen to the response. The record is witness that the politics on floods and wheat were started by the PPP spokespersons, no spokesperson of the Muslim League (N) has ever made political statements on the development of any province.
She said that there is a difference between giving opinions, identifying and doing politics on flood victims and the worst flood situation in history.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Maryam Nawaz’s mandate is to be the voice of the people of Punjab, to defend their rights, and it is Maryam Nawaz’s duty and right to defend the people of Punjab.
The senior minister of Punjab said that PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari praised Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for dealing with the floods and helping the victims, working as a team in the devastating historic floods, and that the PPP’s friends are well aware of the severity of the floods and the biggest rescue and relief operation in Punjab.
She said that Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani and Member of National Assembly Nabeel Gabol also acknowledged the efforts of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, but PPP spokespersons could not digest Bilawal Bhutto’s praise of Maryam Nawaz and started unjustified criticism the next day.
She said that wherever the Governor of Punjab went, the Punjab administration informed him about the help for the flood victims, unjustified criticism of provinces on each other is not in the interest of Pakistan, which the PPP will have to understand.
