The US space agency has released a beautiful image of a ‘stellar nursery’ (where stars are born) in the depths of space.
The image shows a star-forming cloud called Lupus 3, which is hundreds of light-years from Earth.
This image of the nursery was taken by NASA’s Hubble Telescope, in which the early moments of new stars can be seen.
Monica Laubia, a scientist from NASA, said that although this image from the Hubble Telescope looks scary, it is actually full of new life.
She said that Lupus 3 is a star-forming cloud located about 500 light-years from Earth in a cluster called Scorpius.
The image also shows bright T Tauri stars, which are very young stars.
