After years of self-imposed exile from the entertainment industry, superstar Hamza Ali Abbasi is finally prepared to make a triumphant comeback with The Legend of Maula Jatt.
The 38-year-old actor retired from the big screen in 2018 and is now, after a protracted absence, aiming for a successful return with Bilal Lashari’s retelling of a classic tale. The actor would rather spend his time studying and improving himself than producing unavoidable successes.
While The Folklore of Maula Jatt has been developing a reputation as a sort of legend over the past ten years or so. He is now, however, prepared to be open about his break and his much-anticipated comeback to the big screen.
Hamza shared his opinions on Maula Jatt, what the public may anticipate from him, and how he sees the marriage of his work and the faith he cherishes most. As the world waits for the debut of the biggest Pakistani production featuring him, Hamza said, “I took a long pause to focus on educating myself.” He also said that even today, he is “focused on creating less but quality work.”
Hamza goes on to describe his reasons for taking a “leave” from acting, which he thinks he covered in an 18-minute video he uploaded four and a half years ago to announce the hiatus.
I really made an entire video that most people didn’t see, and they just saw the headlines that I’ve left acting,” he said. “I never announced my resignation from the industry.
Hamza has also stated that fans may anticipate seeing him in something fresh as early as next year. The Legend of Maula Jatt is scheduled to arrive in theatres on October 13, 2022.
