Lahore: Provincial Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that the government is not against religious parties, TLP was not politics but spreading chaos.

Speaking on a private TV program, Uzma Bukhari clarified that the government is not against any religious organization or party but is taking steps against a specific mentality that is causing chaos in the country.

She said that TLP was launched as an organized project and the activities they were carrying out were not political protests but attempts to disrupt law and order, which cannot be tolerated.

Uzma Bukhari said that in the past, some parties used to change their names and become active after being banned, but this time the government has formed a special prosecutor cell to deal with such incidents so that the involved elements can be brought to justice quickly. Through this cell, evidence-based investigation and legal prosecution of cases will be made possible.

The Punjab Information Minister said that according to information about the TLP leadership, they are not present in Punjab because such people keep changing places to avoid arrest, however, law enforcement agencies are tracing them and news of arrests is likely to come out soon.
