Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that there was a very positive meeting between the Field Marshal and the Iranian President.
In his message on the social networking platform X (formerly Twitter), Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that an important meeting was held between the top leadership of Pakistan and the Iranian President, in which the current situation in the Middle East, including the Iran-US conflict, was discussed in detail.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the meeting between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the Iranian President was in a very positive and constructive atmosphere. Both sides held important consultations on the resolution of the Iran-US conflict, the future course of action and possible steps to reduce tension in the region.

The Federal Interior Minister said that during the meeting, the necessary steps for the restoration of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding were also discussed. In this regard, it was hoped that the restoration of the Islamabad MoU could be helpful in paving the way for a comprehensive solution to the conflict.
Mohsin Naqvi said that the Iranian President openly expressed his government’s position and reservations during the meeting, which was discussed positively and constructively. Progress was also made on important issues between the two countries, while emphasis was placed on advancing mutual contacts and consultations.
Regarding the meeting, the Federal Interior Minister said that the talks concluded in a very positive atmosphere, which has created hope for lasting peace in the region. Diplomatic efforts to resolve the Iran-US conflict are also likely to make significant progress.
He added that the meeting emphasized the need for practical steps to reduce tensions in the Middle East and establish lasting peace. Pakistan’s top leadership also focused on continuing consultations to resolve issues through diplomatic channels and promote peace in the current situation in the region.
