For England, Harry Brook (91), Jordan Cox (73), captain Joe Root (66) and Dean Lawrence (51) played an important role in scoring a big score by scoring half-centuries.
For Pakistan, Ali Usman took 5 wickets for the first time in Test cricket. Apart from them, Khurram Shahzad took 3 while Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Ali took one wicket each.
It should be remembered that the Pakistan team was all out for 171 runs in the first innings.
