Isalamabad: The Election Commission has suspended the notification of the by-election in NA-1 Chitral.

The ECP has suspended the notification of the election schedule regarding the by-election in the National Assembly constituency NA-1 Chitral. In this regard, it has been informed that the Election Commission suspended the notification in light of the order of the Peshawar High Court.

It should be noted that yesterday, in the hearing of a petition filed against the disqualification of National Assembly member Abdul Latif Chitrali from NA-1 constituency, Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Waqar Ahmed of the Peshawar High Court ordered the by-election in the constituency to be stopped.
