The NAB spoke to the ECP in opposition to the transfer ban, claiming that because the position of “corruption buster” was not a public official, it could not have any impact on the electoral process. Transfers were noted as being commonplace in the bureau.
The ECP district monitoring officer revoked his directive on Monday. Later, a NAB official stated that nine officers had transfer orders in effect and will assume control of their new positions prior to Eidul Azha.
As a result, DG NAB Sukkur Bureau Mirza Sultan Muhammad Saleem was appointed as the new DG NAB Lahore; DG NAB Rawalpindi Irfan Mangi would be DG Training and Research; and DG NAB Balochistan Farmanullah had been posted as DG A&P.Aslam had been promoted to the position of DG NAB Balochistan, while Fayyaz Ahmad Qureshi, the DG of NAB Human Resource Management, Jamil Ahmed, the DG of A&P, and Mirza Muhammad Irfan Baig, the DG of Training and Research, had been assumed to be the DG of Operations at NAB Headquarters.
