Islamabad: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif sought answers to 8 questions from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. History

Khawaja Asif, while posting on X, wrote that today, the argument of the PTI was constantly heard that “we were not allowed to formulate a policy against terrorism.” On this false claim, I have 8 basic questions for the PTI:

- You have been in power in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the past 13 years, you have also been in power in the federation, who stopped you from formulating a policy against terrorism? Which policy is preventing you from implementing the National Action Plan? Which policy is preventing the Apex Committee from convening meetings.

- Calling a terrorist a terrorist, condemning terrorists coming from Afghanistan, what policy do you need to openly stand with the forces against attacks on the Pakistan Army and the people?

- Drone attacks were carried out by Afghanistan in Kohat in recent days. Why didn’t your provincial government openly condemn these attacks? What policy kept stopping you?

- There is firing, infiltration and direct or indirect support to terrorists from Afghan soil on Pakistan’s border posts and military personnel. How many times have you protested or condemned these border violations in the name of the Afghan regime till date? What “policy” is needed for this? History

- What practical steps have you taken in the last 13 years to eliminate the illegal economy that supports terrorism in your own province, such as extortion, smuggling and the business of non-customs-paid vehicles, and if so, please tell us about them?

- The security forces fighting terrorism are making their sacrifices on a daily basis. How many times have you visited these forces at their posts and expressed solidarity with them? And you and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who are themselves victims of terrorism, how many times have you gone and laid a hand on the heads of these orphans?

- Why do you confuse the narrative of the state of Pakistan against terrorism with different tactics and methods? Why don’t you call Khawarij Khawarij and condemn them by naming these Khawarij? What policy is needed for that?

- From all these things, only one conclusion can be drawn that in your 13 years of rule, you have promoted corruption immensely and looted the resources of the province with both hands. On social media, your national and provincial members openly accuse each other of looting crores of billions. A female MNA openly accuses the media of squandering party funds worth crores of rupees coming from abroad.
