Lahore: The Punjab government has taken effective steps to increase revenue and has decided to establish a special unit in the Punjab Revenue Authority.
The PRA special unit will include factorial, tax consultant, legal expert and data analyst.
In-principle approval has also been given for the recruitment of 130 enforcement officers in the Punjab Revenue Authority. It has been decided to expand the scope of the Punjab Revenue Authority to 30 districts.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a deadline of October 30 for the expansion of the Revenue Authority to the districts. Additional responsibilities related to the Revenue Authority in the districts have been directed to be assigned to the ADCG.
A review has been conducted to include 19 new sectors to increase revenue in Punjab. PRA has introduced a convenience app for taxpayers.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that tax payers should not be disturbed by the government, new sectors should be introduced.
