ISLAMABAD: Chief Editor of the Pakistan Group of Newspapers and Chairman of Roze News TV, SK Niazi, discussed very important topics, including today’s parliament sessions and the proceedings during that session and the SC tomorrow verdict about Punjab elections. The guests joined the program via video link in which Shoaib Shaheen, Ex President IHC Bar, Amanullah Kanrani Law expert, Firdoos Shamim PTI leader and renowned economist Mirza Ikhtyar Baig are included. In the program SK Niazi asked some serious question and raised some useful suggestion too.
Shoaib Shaheen, Ex President IHC Bar answering to the question about today’s parliament session; he said that Nobody has right to challenge the parliament proceedings in any court. Every institute either its parliament or court has to follow constitution. You cannot challenge SC powers with a single resolution. SC must have to implement his decisions.PDM govt want to waste the time in dialogues. They are running away from the elections because they are afraid of IK.
Responding to a question, he said that president can ask PM to take a vote of confidence from the parliament. If they want to bring change in constitution it needs 2/3 majority or votes in the parliament. Constitution says if a assembly is dissolved, than new election must be held within 90 days. PDM govt cannot provide security to single province for election what they will do in general election.
Amanullah Kanrani Law expert responding to question about current political scenario of the country; he said that Genral ® Musharaf contest election with the army uniform which shows how much we respect the Constitution. If we want get rid of the political crisis we must obey the law and respect our Constitution. We must take mutual decision which is acceptable for everybody. Only Punjab is not Pakistan, constitution is real Pakistan. I always speak for the rule of law and constitution of this country. He stresses on that Political issues must be solved in the parliament.
Renowned economist Mirza Ikhtyar Baig answering to the question about IMF agreement and govt steps for it. He said the current dialogues of IMF are the longest in the history.IMF gives grant to SL in very short time but with Pakistan IMF is not very comfortable due to political crisis and uncertainty. Reacting to increase in VIP budget; he stated that on one side govt is saying they have no money for election on other hand they are take such a nonsense steps. IMF is observing everything very closely. In such a difficult economical situation this decision of govt shows seriousness of this govt.
In the last, Firdoos Shamim PTI leader expresses his views on today’s parliament situation. He said today’s session was just a joke. Constitution of Pakistan must be followed as it is mentioned. Democracy means rule of the people. Dar destroyed country’s economy. Parliament forms constitution and SC describe it.
