Islamabad: The Corps Commanders Conference has said that internal stability is of utmost importance for Pakistan, on any pretext, any attempt to create violent chaos or a situation like May 9 will be dealt with decisively and without hesitation with force and law.
According to the ISPR, the 277th Corps Commanders Conference was held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in which Fateha was offered for the armed forces, law enforcement agencies and innocent citizens who sacrificed their lives in the defense of the motherland. The participants of the conference paid great tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs.

The participants of the Corps Commanders Conference said that targeted operations against terrorism originating in Afghanistan are Pakistan’s right to defend itself, and the Taliban’s corrupt leadership, as an instrument of India, is solely responsible for the serious consequences of terrorism.

The forum appreciated the continuous successful intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations by the law enforcement agencies and said that good administrative and governance measures along with ground operations are indispensable for the eradication of terrorism. To eradicate terrorism, it is necessary to bring governance closer to the people at the grassroots level.

The forum said that it is also necessary to work on effective communication and narrative with the people on the causes and issues of terrorism. To eradicate terrorism, it is necessary to break the crime-terror nexus operating under the shadow of specific elements, for which the capacity of the police will also have to be increased.
