ISLAMABAD : A constable of elite police has been suspended over manhandling of a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporter who was trying to file a complaint about his cousin who went missing after the party’s show last day in Multan. Earlier, Roze TV footage showed the man, a resident of Sadiqabad, was crying after being manhandled by the policeman. The footage also showed Multan police chief consoling him after the incident and assured him of justice. On Friday, PTI show in Multan had set a worst example of mismanagement as at least seven people were dead and 40 others in a stampede at the public gathering. PTI attributed the responsibility regarding the stampede in the party’s Multan rally with concomitant deaths, to the city administration.
