Beijing: China has warned the US that if Washington does not change its course, China is ready to go to the extreme in the trade war. The Chinese Ministry of Commerce made it clear in its statement that China cannot be swayed by blackmail, pressure and threats.
According to the spokesperson, the challenges facing China have certainly increased, but the capacity for foreign trade has not decreased, and we will cope with the uncertain situation through effective measures.
China stressed to the US that the door to negotiations is open, but it must be on a basis of mutual respect and equality. Protectionism and unilateral decisions are not in the interest of the world.
It should be remembered that in recent days, President Donald Trump has increased tariffs on China to 125%. Earlier, the US had imposed a 104% tariff on China, in response to which China had also imposed an 84% tariff on American products.
The trade war began with the “Liberation Day Tariff”, after which both countries began to impose countermeasures and sanctions. China says it will take strong countermeasures if the US takes further measures.
