ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief and former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has been elected as the Chairman of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation.
Yesterday, Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation President Muhammad Tariq Hassan and Secretary Sohail Anwar met at the residence of Pakistan Muslim League-Q chief and former Prime Minister in Lahore.
Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain congratulated Tariq Hassan and Sohail Anwar on bringing five gold medals for the first time in the Asian Bodybuilding Championship.
Tariq Hassan said that Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s services to the country and the nation are everlasting, which can prove beneficial for the federation and Pakistani bodybuilders.
He said that we want Pakistani athletes to bring more medals and their financial affairs can also improve, to which former Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat expressed his consent and said that national athletes are national heroes, Pakistan is our country and we are proud to be Pakistanis.
Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation General Secretary Sohail Anwar said that the former prime minister becoming the chairman will usher in a new era of bodybuilding in the country.
Talking to Express, he said that a grand ceremony will be held in Lahore next month. It should be remembered that the former prime minister has also been the president of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation.
