England fast bowler Brydon Carse has been ruled out of the second Test against Pakistan at Lord’s after a video emerged of him handcuffed outside a Derby nightclub.
Brydon Carse was seen surrounded by police outside a Derby nightclub after Durham’s County Championship win over Derbyshire on Saturday night. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced an investigation after the video emerged and referred the matter to the independent cricket regulator.
The Cricket Regulator has also confirmed that it is investigating the incident. According to the ECB, Brydon Carse will not be available for the second Test until the investigation is complete and the facts of the incident are known.
Fast bowler Sonny Baker has been included in England’s Test squad in Carse’s place.
According to reports, Brydon Carse has not been arrested or charged with any criminal offence in connection with the incident. Derbyshire Police have also not yet issued an official statement on the incident.
