ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner Jane Marriott has called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar. According to the Foreign Office, satisfaction was expressed in the meeting over the development of Pak-UK relations and recent high-level contacts. The two leaders also discussed regional and global issues. On the other hand, Pakistan’s Ambassador-designate to Romania, Ilyas Mahmood Nizami, also paid a farewell call on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The Foreign Minister appreciated the services of Mahmood Nizami as Director General (South Asia) and wished him success in his new responsibilities. The Foreign Minister expressed hope that he would play an effective role in promoting and expanding relations between Pakistan and Romania.
